Xanthosoma sagittifolium 'Lime' brings oversized arrow-shaped leaves in vivid lime green, creating a much brighter effect than darker self-heading aroids with similar proportions. It grows upright from a central corm and can exceed 1 m in height and width indoors when well established, so it needs both floor space and a roomy pot.
Bright, indirect light, warmth around 20ā30°C, and a rich but well-draining mix support its fast, leafy growth, while humidity above about 60% helps prevent edge damage on expanding leaves. Keep the substrate evenly moist rather than wet or bone dry, and propagate by dividing the corm rather than taking stem cuttings. Like other Xanthosoma forms it contains calcium oxalate, so it is not suitable for households where pets or children chew foliage.
