Philodendron 'Birkin' is a compact, self-heading hybrid grown for glossy dark green leaves lined with narrow creamy-white stripes. Unlike many philodendrons, it stays upright and bushy without climbing support, which makes it especially practical for desks, shelves, and smaller interiors where a neat structure matters. Most plants mature between 80 and 120 cm indoors, though growth remains dense because the internodes stay short.
Bright, indirect light keeps the contrast clear, while medium light is usually tolerated with slower growth. Water when the upper portion of the mix has dried, use a loose aroid substrate with bark and perlite, and keep the plant warm and protected from harsh direct sun.
Like other philodendrons, it contains calcium oxalate and should be kept out of reach of pets and children.
