Philodendron billietiae variegata keeps the long rippled leaf shape and orange petioles of standard billietiae but overlays the blade with unpredictable cream and yellow marbling that can range from fine mottling to larger blocks of pale colour. It is slower than the all-green form, but each new leaf carries enough variation to make the pace worthwhile. Support matters here because the plant still behaves as a climber, and leaf size improves noticeably with vertical growth.
Bright, indirect light supports steady development without burning the paler sectors, while watering after the top 15–20% of the mix has dried helps keep the roots healthier than constant moisture. It prefers 18–25 °C, humidity from 60–80%, and a very airy substrate.
The variegation can revert on some growth, and like other philodendrons it is toxic if chewed.
