Hoya thomsonii is a compact Himalayan species with softly fuzzy, slightly cupped leaves and clusters of white flowers that carry a light honey-like fragrance. Compared with many warm, glossy tropical Hoyas, it has a cooler, more tactile feel and prefers somewhat milder temperatures, which makes it useful in rooms that are bright and comfortable rather than hot and humid year-round.
Bright indirect light, temperatures around 16–24 °C, humidity around 50–70%, and a bark-perlite-coir mix that dries partially between waterings suit it well. It can trail naturally or be guided onto a small support, and once established it tends to rebloom from the same peduncles, so those should never be removed. Hoya thomsonii is a strong choice if you want a fragrant, furry-leaved species with a quieter, almost alpine-epiphyte character.
