Hoya carnosa 'Krimson Queen' remains one of the strongest variegated Hoyas because it combines crisp cream margins, green centres, and pink-toned new growth with the easy temperament of standard carnosa. It can trail from a hanging pot, climb a small support, or simply mound up in a shelf planter, and in every form the foliage keeps enough contrast to look decorative even when the plant is young. Given time, it also becomes a dependable bloomer, producing starry pink umbels with fragrance rather than acting like a foliage-only novelty.
Bright indirect light, an airy mix, sensible dry intervals between waterings, and a pot that is not oversized are usually enough to keep it compact, colourful, and far more forgiving than many white-variegated houseplants.
