Hoya callistophylla 'Kalimantan' is a foliage-led clone with thick elongated leaves, dark reticulate veins, and a subtly bullate surface that gives the plant strong structure even when the vine is not in bloom. Compared with softer-leaved Hoyas, the Kalimantan form reads more architectural because the leaf tissue is firmer and the venation stands out sharply against the paler background.
Bright indirect light, a very airy mix of bark and mineral drainage, and watering only after the top few centimetres dry suit it better than heavy, moisture-retentive compost. It prefers warmth around 18 – 26 °C, moderate to higher humidity, and a vertical support rather than a loose trailing habit; Hoya is generally considered non-toxic, though sap can still irritate skin.
