Epipremnum aureum 'Shangri La' grows with thick, crinkled leaves that stay folded and twisted instead of flattening out like standard pothos, giving the plant a dense, sculptural look even when small. Young growth often appears compact and upright, then becomes more trailing or climbing as the stems lengthen.
Bright, indirect light keeps the habit tighter and the leaves better formed, while an airy substrate and a watering rhythm that lets roughly the top 30–40% dry help avoid root trouble. Average indoor humidity is usually enough, though warmer, slightly more humid conditions support cleaner new growth. Like other Epipremnum forms it roots readily from cuttings, and its naturally curled foliage should not be mistaken for dehydration by default at home.
