Dracaena aubrytiana 'Lauren' is a variegated snake plant cultivar with upright sword-shaped leaves framed by broad yellow margins around a deep green centre. Indoors it generally reaches about 40–70 cm, forming a dense clump that provides strong contrast without taking much room.
Like other snake plants, it is drought-tolerant and much more at risk from excess moisture than from drying a little too long. Bright indirect light supports the clearest colour, though some shade is tolerated, and a free-draining cactus or succulent mix is essential to keep the root zone aerated. Warm temperatures around 18–27 °C are ideal, while cold drafts and waterlogged soil should be avoided.
Growth is slow but steady, and it should be considered toxic to pets if chewed or ingested.
