Dieffenbachia seguine 'Mars' grows upright with light green leaves edged in darker green, producing a bright but still clearly green column of foliage rather than a wide, sprawling plant. It suits standard indoor culture, tolerating lower light levels while growing best in bright indirect light where the pattern stays cleaner and stems remain stronger.
Keep the substrate evenly moist but not soggy, allowing about the top 2 cm to dry before watering again, and use a well-draining peat-free mix in a pot with drainage holes. Temperatures around 18–24 °C and average to slightly raised humidity are suitable, while balanced liquid fertilizer applied every few weeks supports active growth. Older or damaged leaves can be removed as needed, and routine rotation helps maintain an even outline.
