Dieffenbachia seguine 'Crocodile' differs from smoother cultivars through its thickened central rib and heavily textured leaves, mottled in dark and lighter green with scattered pale flecking. Indoors it can reach about 1–1.5 m, with broad blades up to roughly 40 cm long creating a more sculptural presence than many softer-looking dumb canes.
It prefers bright indirect light, watering after the top 10–15% of substrate has dried, and an airy mix based on coco coir, bark, and perlite that keeps roots oxygenated. Temperatures around 18–27 °C and humidity above 50% support clean growth, while regular feeding every 4–6 weeks helps maintain size and colour.
Stem cuttings with at least one node are suitable for propagation, and occasional leaf cleaning and rotation help keep the plant upright.
