Cacti & Succulent Soil Mix

Use this mix when you want pots to dry fully between waterings and avoid the classic “wet feet” problems that kill cacti and succulents.

• Pots: always use containers with drainage holes; terracotta speeds up drying and is often safer than plastic for very dry-loving species.
• When to repot: repot when roots clearly fill the pot or when the mix has broken down and no longer drains freely.
• Preparing the plant: remove as much old soil as possible and trim dead roots before potting into fresh mix.
• Filling the pot: add a base layer of Cacti & Succulent Soil Mix, position the plant and backfill around the roots without compressing the substrate hard.
• First watering: water thoroughly after repotting, then allow the mix to dry completely before the next watering.
• Ongoing watering rhythm: in warm, bright conditions water deeply but infrequently; in winter or cool rooms reduce watering sharply and err on the dry side.
