Anacampseros rufescens f. variegata forms tiny low rosettes patterned in green, cream, pink, and deeper magenta, so the whole plant reads like a compact mosaic rather than a plain succulent. In strong light the colour intensifies, but the appeal is not just brightness: the leaves stay fleshy, tight, and orderly, making it especially good for small bowls, collector trays, and sunny sill displays.
Treat it as a drought-adapted plant by using a gritty mineral substrate and watering only after the pot has dried fully, then keeping it warm and bright. Overwatering is far more dangerous than brief dryness, and slow growth is normal, so the best results come from patience, hard light, and restrained feeding rather than frequent attention. It also values consistency.
