Alocasia wentii grows into a substantial upright aroid with broad arrow-shaped leaves, dark green upper surfaces, and purple-bronze undersides that show best when the foliage lifts or shifts. Indoors it can reach around 1–1.5 m, forming a strong rosette on sturdy petioles without needing support.
Bright, indirect light, warm temperatures, and an airy bark-based mix suit it best, with watering once roughly the top 30% has dried. It handles slightly cooler indoor conditions better than many lowland Alocasia species, but still dislikes cold drafts, stagnant wet soil, and sudden swings in moisture. Purple reverse tones and a faint metallic cast are part of what make mature leaves so distinctive indoors, and older plants can be divided by rhizome when repotted.
