Alocasia 'Pink Dragon' pairs deep green, silver-veined leaves with vivid pink petioles, producing one of the cleanest and most instantly readable colour combinations in modern Alocasia cultivation. The plant stays compact and upright, usually around 50–80 cm tall indoors, which makes it easy to place on stands, side tables, or bright cabinet levels where both foliage and stems can be appreciated. It descends from longiloba-complex hybrid lines, so it wants bright filtered light, warmth, humidity, and a coarse, well-aerated substrate that never stays cold and soggy around the roots.
Water once the upper part of the mix has dried, protect it from drafts, and keep feeding moderate so petioles colour well without stressing the roots. Unlike variegated forms, it delivers strong contrast very reliably.
For collectors or design-led interiors, it is a go-to plant when colour and structure are wanted without the unpredictability of pale tissue.
