Alocasia baginda ‘Dragon Scale’ Albo-Variegata adds white to cream sectors to the dense, reptilian texture that made Dragon Scale famous, creating a leaf surface that feels both sculpted and sharply patterned. The compact habit means it fits shelves or cabinets easily, but the bold contrast gives it the presence of a far larger collector plant. New leaves usually emerge softer and greener, then develop stronger relief and clearer white patterning as they mature.
Bright filtered light is crucial, because pale tissue needs support but burns fast in direct sun. Keep it warm, maintain above-average humidity, and use a fast-draining but moisture-holding aroid mix so the roots stay active. Heavily variegated leaves grow more slowly, so steady conditions matter more than pushing growth with fertilizer.
