Aglaonema 'White Joy' pushes variegation hard, with near-white leaf centres framed by deep green margins, making it one of the crispest and brightest-looking Chinese evergreen cultivars. The plant stays compact, usually around 30–60 cm indoors, so it works well on bright shelves, side tables, and plant cabinets where strong foliage contrast is part of the design.
Because the leaves contain less green tissue than darker cultivars, it needs brighter indirect light to stay healthy and to keep the white centres clean rather than dull. Use a chunky, free-draining mix, let the upper layer of substrate dry before watering again, and avoid soggy soil or cold air that would quickly stress the roots. Average indoor humidity is usually acceptable, though a small boost helps keep tips from browning.
It is best treated as a statement foliage plant for well-lit interiors rather than as a shade-tolerant general-purpose Aglaonema.
